    Founder
    Pedro Zaz
    Leads the programming, the curation of films and exhibitions, and the development of content that positions M.A.C.A. as a reference space between art, science, technology, nature, and social responsibility.
    The Story of Pedro Zaz

    Born in Almeida, Pedro Zaz is a multidisciplinary New Media artist and VJ, with an international career in video mapping, fulldome, and immersive cinema. A pioneer since the 1990s, he is co-director of Fulldome UK and creator of the software Blendy Dome VJ and Blendy 360 CAM.

    His work has been presented in international contexts such as MoMA PS1 in New York, MGM Studios in Los Angeles, the studio responsible for the content of the Sphere in Las Vegas, and the 2024 Venice Biennale. Today, he brings this global experience to the leadership of M.A.C.A.’s physical development and technological curation.

    But what makes Pedro so special to M.A.C.A.?

    With roots in Almeida, Pedro projects a vision of innovation with international reach. Co-founder of United VJs, he has developed immersive shows for global audiences and, through VJ University, has trained visual artists on an international scale. He also taught at the Lisbon School of Music, in the postgraduate programme in Video Mapping.

    Kaique Matias
    Kaique, currently specializing in Automation and Robotics at MasterD, works on the immersive systems, robotics, and gamification of M.A.C.A., bringing technology, nature, and human experience closer together. With a practical and welcoming presence, he contributes to an innovative, accessible experience rooted in Almeida.

    Catarina Narciso
    Catarina is part of M.A.C.A.’s front-of-house team, where sensitivity, rigor, and presence transform every interaction into a carefully crafted experience. With a background in cultural production and coordination, she strengthens the project’s human and operational dimension, ensuring warmth, flow, and confidence in every visit.
    Communication
    Tropi Digital

    Tropi Digital ensures M.A.C.A.’s communication, press relations, and strategic positioning, strengthening its international projection and establishing Almeida as a reference point in fulldome and immersive culture circuits. Through content and strategy, it expands visibility, attracts audiences, partners, and opportunities for the territory.
